Michael Sturman leads all acquisitions and capital markets at Layline Capital Partners. He has personally led more than $110 million of New York City multifamily and mixed-use acquisitions, sourcing and underwriting each deal from first look through closing.

Before co-founding Layline, Michael served as Head of Acquisitions at a New York City family office and at a New York City real estate development firm, where he led deal sourcing and investment analysis. He began his career on the lending side, helping originate and underwrite loans for a New York City lending platform of more than $2 billion, an experience that shapes how Layline structures and finances every acquisition.

Michael has deep roots in Westchester and long-standing relationships across New York City's multifamily brokerage community. He is a graduate of Syracuse University.

Stephen Serota leads construction, asset management and the business and operations of Layline Capital Partners. He oversees renovation scope, budgets and schedules, and the firm's general contractor and architect relationships. Over his career, he has managed investments and assets of more than $700 million.

Before co-founding Layline, Stephen served as VP of Investment and Development at a New York City real estate development firm, leading multi-state development projects. At Alchemy Ventures, he joined at the firm's inception, led acquisitions as the platform grew, and then led construction on value-add multifamily and mixed-use investments across Manhattan.

Stephen is also the Founding Principal of Evans Point Capital LLC, an investment firm representing a multi-generational New York family, where he oversees its real estate portfolio alongside investments in venture capital and alternative assets. He has also worked with Serota Properties, a Long Island real estate developer with holdings across multiple asset classes nationwide. He is a graduate of The George Washington University.
